How to Talk to Your Legislators: Workshop Recap

“What we say we have to be willing to live with and stand by,” professor Bob Hyland reminded participants at the first of two fall workshops on how to effectively address and meet with legislators. He and Dr. Amy Townsend-Small opened their offices to eager students, advocates and community members who wanted to know how to give public comment better. Professor Townsend-Small reminded participants that legislators expect citizens to show up and speak out: “It’s your committee, if you live in Cincinnati, they work for you!”
