Book Club: No Shortcuts

2 Locations
What organized power is necessary to enact significant social change, and how do we, inside and outside of the workplace, learn from progressive successes to win locally? Gather with transit riders, workers, neighbors and friends to discuss No Shortcuts: Organizing Power in the New Gilded Age, the near-classic manual by late labor and community organizer Jane McCalevey that has informed strategies in multiple regional transit unions seeing real changes, from streetcar expansions in Kansas City to mayoral elections in Seattle.  No Shortcuts is available locally at Downbound and Roebling, regional public libraries, and as an audiobook on Libby.
