Come to Cincinnati’s Climate, Environment, & Infrastructure Committee meeting to speak out about the highway expansion that the Ohio Department of Transportation is planning.
The City of Cincinnati made a formal apology to the West End in 2022 for the racial displacement of 26,000 people through I-75’s construction and urban renewal project. City officials promised reconciliation and reconnection: why aren’t they speaking up when ODOT intends to expand the same interstate?
Come practice giving public comment: ask council members to fully support West End, Camp Washington, and CUF neighbors. Tell council to stop funneling funds into highways and put people over pavement instead. Committee members include:
Meeka Owens, Chairperson meeka.owens@cincinnati-oh.gov
Mark Jeffreys, Vice-Chair mark.jeffreys@cincinnati-oh.gov
Jeff Cramerding, Member jeff.cramerding@cincinnati-oh.gov
Seth Walsh, Member seth.walsh@cincinnati-oh.gov
