On February 1, 2024, more than 530 people attended or joined the livestream of the Streetcar Citizen Forum which gauged interest in nine potential routes for expanding Cincinnati streetcar beyond Downtown and Over-the-Rhine. Additionally, 2,801 people ranked the routes and 980 comments were collected.
Of the nine options, survey participants ranked these routes first and second:
Downtown to Uptown Corridor: This route uses Reading Road, Burnet and University Avenues, and ends on Short Vine in Corryville.
Clifton to Walnut Hills Cooridor: This route uses Clifton Avenue, the Calhoun/McMillan/Taft triplet to Woodburn, and ends on Madison Road in East Walnut Hills.
How you can help
The City of Cincinnati, working with Uptown stakeholders, must undertake a detailed study of these two routes. Your voice is essential in moving this project forward!
Please send an original message to Mayor Pureval and City Council asking them to study the physical characteristics of these routes, likely benefits, costs, and how each might be financed by completing the form below.
